Library Snapshot Day - October 31st

library awesome at least we have one.we need to do reaserch if we didnt have a library what can we read. i like the library because it is fun and you can check out books and playaways and magazines they are fun to explore and to read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mrs. Grindle and Mrs. Carpenter are great. My kids love coming to the library almost everyday. Great job! It's very relaxing and peaceful. I really appreciate the library. I love the library because Mrs.Grindle is so nice and it's really fun to play on the tablets. 3 classes were also drawn to come to the library and "play' on the tablets. The classes that came were Mrs. Aclin, Mrs. Chiriboga, & Ms. Galyon. |
I really like the library because you can lose your self in it and then have fun!
if your mad then you can go here and calm down I love that we are free to pick a book and read to our hearts content I like going to the library. It is so fun and is never boring. it is so good. mrs Grindle is the Best ever. Grat lesson. thank you. I think the library is my favorite place in the whole school, because i love to read and Mrs. Grindle and Mrs. Carpender are truly amazing! i come here 4 times a day it is easily MY FAVORITE SPOT the library is fun and all about learning |

Aaron Reynolds - Author VisitAaron Reynolds came to visit and the students had a blast. He got them so excited about reading and writing that his newest book, Destructosaurus, never stayed on the shelf more than 1 day. Thanks Aaron for coming to visit. We had so much fun learning from you. Your energy was contagious.

National Library WeekDuring National Library month we will be celebrating the library. Our special week will be April 14-18th. Students can write a poem to celebrate National Poetry Month as well, fill out a shelf talker to share a good book, send in a picture of reading in a special place and possibly win a prize from the book fair in May.

R.J. Palacio - author visit
45 students were chosen to attend the field trip. We will share all that we learned with the rest of the campus when we return from our trip. Thanks to everyone for writing why they wanted to be chosen. Names were drawn out of a hat!
Steve Swinburne - Author Visit
Steve came to visit Great Oaks on Thursday and entertained and taught all grade levels how to write, research and follow our dreams and our passion. We heard him sing and share some wonderful stories about his adventures. He taught us to keep our eyes open and our ears turned on. THYE LIBRARY IS BASICALLY THE GREATEST PLACE IN THE WORLD! THANK U MRS.GRINDLE AND MRS.CARPENDER I love the library because you can learn lots of new things and if you need to retake anything you can.there are so many different kinds of books that I love. my favorite kind of books that we have a lot of in the library is books that are true and about sports! And Mrs Grindle and Mrs. Carpenter will always help you need help with finding a book or lot of other things!!!! I also loved when Phil Bildner come to teach us to alway do you best on everything you do. He also said ... anything you put your name on , do you best efort!!! And that is why I love the library!!! |

The library and those who work and volunteer in there are always helpful. I always feel like I can come in and ask a question and everyone is so willing to help research to find an answer! Our library is GREAT! i like how the library is where they do kgoe and there is a gecko ind hereor used to I LOVE the libary! It's fun to look around at and check out a couple of books.
